Colors

…before we may start, let's learn how to say color in Korean. The Korean word for color is 색깔 (saegkkal). However, we attach the word 색 (saek) when we want to identify a color. Let's see an example below, where we are going to learn some basic, advance, and even special colors!

Here is the list of Basic Korean colors:

1. Black - 검정색 - geomjeongsaek
2. Blue - 파란색 - paransaek
3. Brown - 갈색 - galsaek
4. Gray - 회색 - hoesaek
5. Green - 초록색 - choroksaek
6. Orange - 주황색 - juhwangsaek
7. Pink - 분홍색 - bunhongsaek
8. Purple - 보라색 - borasaek
9. Red - 빨간색 - ppalkansaek
10. White - 하얀색 - hayansaek
11. Yellow - 노란색 - noransaek

Here is the list of Advanced Korean colors:

1. Blue green - 청록색 - cheongnoksaek
2. Dark brown - 밤색 - bamsaek
3. Dark color - 어두운 색 - eoduun saek
4. Dark purple - 진 보라색 - jin bolasaeg
5. Hot pink - 핫 핑크색 - has pingkeusaek
6. Light color - 밝은 색 - balgeun saek
7. Light green - 연두색 - yeondusaek
8. Light purple - 연보라색 - yeonbolasaeg
9. Navy blue - 남색 - namsaek
10. Sky blue - 하늘색 - haneulsaek
11. Soft color - 부드러운 색 - budeureoun saek
12. Vivid color - 선명한 색 - seonmyeonghan saek

Here is the list of Special Korean colors:

1. Bronze - 청동색 - cheongdong saek
2. Coral - 산호 색 - sanhosaek
3. Fuchsia - 자홍색 - jahongsaek
4. Gold - 금색 - geumsaek
5. Indigo - 남색 - namsaek
6. Jade - 비취색 - bichiwisaek
7. Maroon - 적갈색 - jeoggalsaek
8. Mint - 민트 색 - minteusaek
9. Multicolored - 여러 가지 색 - yeoreo gaji saek
10. Pastel color - 파스텔 톤의 색 - paseutel tonui saek
11. Peach - 복숭아색 - bogsung-a saek
12. Rainbow - 무지개색 - mujigaesaek
13. Silver - 은색 - eunsaek
14. Tan - 황갈색 - hwang-galsaek
15. Turquoise - 청록색 - cheonglogsaek
